Anyone familiar with "Elfen Lied" knows of the notable music-box that Kohta possessed, and Lucy/Nyu admired. The tone that it played was melancholy, beautiful, addicting and memorable, and was a major theme through-out the series. Trying to find one in real life is like trying to find a Diclonius. After much research, it was revealed that Sankyo © had an 18-note mechanical movement of the song...but it wasn't of Elfen Lied quality.
I've contacted Sankyo©, and with the help of Tezuka, the international sales manager for Sankyo ©, we have been able to establish the creation of a 23-note mechanical movement that, sounds identical to what you hear now...Thus was born the "Lilium Project".

The image to the left is the 23N mechanical mechanism that is being produced through the "Lilium Project" and is available for purchase.

The goal of the "Lilium Project" is to create a 23-Note mechanism that plays 30 seconds of the song "Lilium" from Elfen Lied. The project has completed this creation, and Sankyo now produces these mechanisms exclusively for the "Lilium Project". One of the end-goals of the "Lilium Project" is to create a replica of the music box featured in "Elfen Lied". The site is also a place for fans to gather and share their love for not only "Lilium", but "Elfen Lied" and other anime's as well. Take a look through the forums!
Right now the mechanisms are for sale in the "Lilium Project Store"!!
As we will be working off of a "Limited License Agreement" with Sankyo©, these mechanisms will only be able for purchase exclusively for the members of the site, and not available elsewhere.
If you would like the opportunity to purchase a mechanism and possibly a "Lilium" music box (if the phase is completed) as well as staying informed about different happenings with the "Lilium Project", I would encourage you to please become a member of the site! Sign up, buy a mechanism!!
